Y/N had entered in at number 13. Despite going up against legends like Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, and even Trish Stratus – she was hanging in there. Seth however was barely keeping it together as he watched from backstage. Due to how recognizable he’d gotten, the execs wouldn’t let him sneak into the crowd to watch live, despite how much he begged them to.
He watched as she was kicked down by Asuka before rolling under the bottom rope to recover. His heart beating a mile a minute thinking one of the 4 other women would try to get her. Instead, Sasha went directly for Asuka, trying to take her out before the Bella twins threw her out over the top rope. They turned their attention towards Asuka grabbing her to throw her over the top rope.
It didn’t look like it’d be possible until Y/N came back up to help them. The three of them eliminating the empress of tomorrow. In a flash she turned to throw Brie over the ropes but Brie was able to land on the curtain.
Nikki yanked her back by her hair, throwing her onto the floor. Brie mocked only to be knocked off the apron by her own sister catching everyone off guard.
“Oh shit!” Seth breathed out, unable to take his eyes off the screen.
“Only the two of them left now.” Dean nodded watching the event next to Seth.
He shifted side to side, rubbing his hands together as he watched Y/N get back up to her knees, holding her head that had just been slammed onto the ground. Nikki grabbed her by the hair again, lifting her up to her feet before kneeing her in the stomach. The move brought them closer to the ropes and Nikki attempted to lift her over the top only for Y/N to take advantage, grabbing her by her waist and throwing her over her shoulder, over the top rope.Nikki landed on the apron but before she got comfortable, Y/N superkicked her in the face, knocking her off.
Cheers erupted from the arena and backstage alike as people celebrated the end of the first ever women’s royal rumble, but nobody was more elated than Seth.
He hugged, Dean, Roman, Renee, anyone within a two foot radies before he sprinted towards the apron where he watched, the whole Ronda ruse. None of it mattered. It came as a shock to everyone else sure, but all he could see was his girlfriend’s elated face as she sprinted backstage.
She didn’t even need to see him past the curtain to know he was there. Immediately passing the heavy black material, she jumped into Seth’s waiting arms. He held her up in the air, spinning her around.
“You did it!” – “I did it!” They said simultaneously, both out of breath from excitement.
Seth set her down, cupping her face between his large hands before leaning down to kiss her hard.
“Y/N -” Renee and a cameraman approached the two. “I can’t imagine what you’re feeling right now, but can you try to tell us what’s going through your mind after winning the first ever Women’s Royal Rumble?”
“Renee,” Y/N said, trying to catch her breath as Seth held her against him. “Like you said, there’s no feeling in the world like it. To be apart of breaking this glass ceiling was magical but to come out as the winner – I can’t even begin to process!”
Renee laughed and turned towards Seth who hadn’t been able to stop gazing at Y/N admirously. “Seth, in the back – you couldn’t take your eyes away from the screen – it was definitely an emotional roller coaster for you as well – can you describe the feeling of watching Y/N come out on top?”
“Oh man -” He smiled, looking down at his girl, “I can’t even begin to describe how proud I am of her. I’ve seen her up late at the gym. It was incredible to watch her show the world her incredible talent. I’ve seen her evolve and grow throughout the years. I’ve seen her busting her butt at the performance center. I’ve seen her passion and her love for this. It’s just breathtaking to watch it all pay-off.”
“Well – there you have it.” She turned to the camera, a big smile on her face.
After the camera turned off, Renee hugged Y/N – congratulating her before leaving the two alone again.
“I’m so proud of you baby.” Seth smiled down at his woman as tears streamed down her face. “I don’t think i ever tell you enough.”
